A little bit about me: I was born and raised in Florida, not too far from Tampa! I did my undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida (USF) and am going to be graduating with my Masters Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from USF in December of 2024.
I have lived experience with life transitions, anxiety, and living with a disability that has strengthened my ability further to be there for my clients. I think that every person is capable of living a life that they love, sometimes we just need to do some investigation on how to make that happen.
How I can help you: I bring a unique mindset and approach into my counseling that focuses on encouraging my clients to live a life in accordance to their values. Every person is unique and I love to explore the factors that make you, YOU, so that we can work together on your treatment plan in the most personal and effective way. My goal is for you to have someone to talk to that listens, empathizes, makes you feel safe, helps you form a plan of action, and is there for you to work on being your best self.
A glimpse into my life: My husband, golden doodles, and I love to RV travel across the country, but, we’re also not opposed to flying! I am a firm believer in a cup of Matcha every day and surrounding myself with people and activities that “fill my cup” . You may catch me speaking on disability or mental health as an advocate for the communities or doing a donation from the nonprofit I created, Wheely Big dreams, that donates adaptive equipment to those with disabilities that are in need.

A little bit about me: As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have spent the last eight years working with “at risk” children and adolescents, referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Diversion programs and currently work with the Genesis Women’s Clinic to assist antepartum and postpartum mom’s suffering from Perinatal Mood and Anxiety disorder, the Family Care Clinic providing Behavioral therapy to families and adults and the pediatric clinic at TGH Healthpark.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College, in Colorado, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in Interdisciplinary Social Science, and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the USF, as well. I am clinically trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) - Behavioral Tech Institute DBT Foundational Training and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Certification Training, Pregnancy and Infant Loss, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder, and Depression in Bereaved Parents. In addition, Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing are routinely utilized in my sessions in order to create desired outcomes. I believe my overarching therapeutic philosophy matches that of the founder of DBT, Marsha Linehan, where I believe every individual deserves “a life worth living."
How I can help you: I find the number one reason individuals reach out to me for therapy is that they find themselves stuck (1) in the past, (2) in an unhealthy relationship, (3) in a pattern of self-harm and self-loathing, (4) in fear, and/or (5) in a sense of hopelessness. My approach is to utilize my talents to help my clients discover theirs, all while listening to provide an individual pathway to a life worth living.
A glimpse into my life: I am a competitive triathlete who has competed in the Ironman World Championships, both in the full distance and the 70.3 distance. I am currently training for my first 100k (62.5 mile) trail running race that I am planning on competing in late fall of 2024. But if I'm not running you'll find me at the beach. "At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun." -Sandy Gingras.

I attended Central Connecticut State University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Master of Social Work degree specializing in Clinical Mental Health. My graduate school clinical experience included working with two different populations. During the first experience, I worked with clients dealing with Schizophrenia in an in-patient hospital environment. I had the opportunity to understand the impact of severe mental health and how to incorporate therapy techniques along with psychotropic medications. My second experience entailed working with Catholic Family Services, where I provided more traditional therapeutic techniques with clients ranging from adolescence to adulthood.
Since then, I have worked in private practice where I have utilized person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and some EMDR techniques to assist individual clients from adolescence to adulthood. I have also utilized Gottman methods of therapy when working with couples.

A little bit about me: I made the move from Nashville, TN to Florida through a scholarship to play softball for Southeastern University. I continued my education at SEU, earning a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling with a strong emphasis on a faith-based approach. My area of expertise centers around Christian counseling, particularly with a specialization in trauma. However, I am equipped for and experienced with secular counseling for various mental health issues, including trauma.
My passion for working with clients who’ve experienced trauma started when I began working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in a community agency setting. I had the opportunity to witness the healing that can take place when a survivor is given the chance to share their story without any judgment. Beyond traditional talk therapy, I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which helps me to provide more support for trauma survivors.
How I can help you: My primary goal is to establish a secure and nurturing environment for every client. I aim to offer empathy, emotional support, and encouragement, while fostering strength in each person. I firmly believe that every client is unique, and treatment should be individualized to their specific needs. To provide a comprehensive approach, I consider the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of a client’s life to ensure a holistic treatment.
A glimpse into my life: A large part of my time outside of work involves spending meaningful time with my close friends and family, including my two favorite dogs on the planet—Nash and Daisy. In the past, I have helped those struggling with anxiety and depression, mood and personality disorders, grief and loss, men’s issues, identity issues, life transitions, and stress management. A little bit about me: I am originally from Connecticut but have lived in Florida for alittle over 24 years.

A little bit about me: My fascination and desire for understanding human behavior prompted me to study Psychology in college, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2012. And graduated from Capella University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am bilingual in English and Spanish; therefore I also work with the Spanish-speaking community.
How can I help you: I aim to help individuals get through challenging moments in their lives, as well as diagnose and treat mental illnesses to benefit my clients. I assist my clients, including children (ages 3+), adolescents, adults and families, in developing healthy self-perceptions as calm, whole and secure. I enjoy working with children and adults to help them discover their life's purpose and learn and understand how to lead the life they have always wanted.
My journey working with children specifically has been nothing short of captivating. Over the years I've learned to create a safe and nurturing environment by implementing play therapy, utilizing the Gestalt Play therapy approach, and integrating the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model with mindfulness. Drawing from my own experiences, I can attest to the vital role of aiding young children in developing emotional regulation and effective coping strategies. These early interventions yield positive results as they grow and navigate the various challenges in life.
With a few years of experience using play therapy techniques, I have honed my skills in evaluating and assessing various childhood issues, including ADHD, sleep problems, separation anxiety, general anxiety, conflict-related to divorce, depression, trauma, and self-esteem issues.
With adults I use several strategies to help individuals overcome and manage depression, anxiety, and trauma, including Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness techniques, inner child work, mood management, stress reduction, and work-life balance.
